Cherry:*slowly and stiffly walks behind Topthorn, trying to protect her baby* *doesn't trust Albert, hardly ever really has trusted him*

Cherry:*ears pin back and swerves around and snaps at him* *finally just kicks him square in the chest, several cracking sounds heard*

Al:*falls back* AH!!!!!

Cherry:*startled by the scream and jumps, moving away from him, lays back down and pushes hard, entire body tensing as she strains*

Jas: Albert! *runs over and helps Cher*

Kurt: *kisses back hesitanly wrapping arms around his neck*

Cherry:*panting* *tired* *ears pinned*

Cherry:*panting, rolls to her stomach and then back onto her side and repeats this* *neighs out in pain* *lifts her head and reaches towards Topthorn, nickering softly* *stands and stiffly walks to him, laying back down, her head near his front legs* *rolls to her side and pushes, grunting* *stops pushing and doesn't push again, panting*

Al:*in pain, calls the vet and gets him out here*

Vet:*comes over* What's going on?

Blaine:*moans softly*

Jas: The baby won't come out. *hellps Al*

Kurt: *moans*

Vet:*kneels by Cherry* How long has she been straining?

Cherry:*panting, tired*

Blaine:*moans*

Jas: A few minutes.

Kurt: *moans*

Vet:*nods and feels around inside* The baby is stuck in her pelvis. The shoulders are too wide and she can't get them out. *grabs the baby's legs from just inside Cherry and pulls as she starts to push again*

Cherry:*pushing*

Vet:*pulling fairly hard and the baby just won't budge* *pushes the baby back in a bit so just the feet are out again and rearranges the shoulders to try to make them fit through* Okay mama push!

Cherry:*by this time, exhausted* *pushes, grunts*

Vet:*pulls as hard as he can, trying to get the baby out but it just gets stuck right back where it was* This baby isnt coming out...*calls for some more help from some other vets* *knows this is going to be more difficult than it looks* I wouldn't recommend breeding her again after this. She had trouble with her first foal too. No one knows about the white colt but if she's having this much trouble with two foals maybe three, she'll have trouble with every one of her future foals and she could end up not doing so hot.

Blaine:*moans*

Jas: *nods*

Kurt: *moans*

Vet: Come on girl. Push!

Cherry:*pushes, groaning*

Vet:*pulls* *orders the other vets that are here now to get in and help*

Cherry:*pushing, grunting with each push* *pants, exhausted*

Vet:*checks on her vital signs* The mare is too tired. She can't push anymore. Not safely. Her heart is racing and she's dripping with sweat. *petting Cherry* Just relax girl. Just relax. Just rest.

Cherry:*panting, sweat dripping from her body, whole body just soaked to the bone and steaming*

Vet: *goes to her head and takes hold of her halter* Come on girl. Get up. We're going to move her into the barn, it's warmer in there.

Cherry:*stands, head low, panting*

Vet:*leads her to the barn*

Cherry: *follows, stiffly as the baby's shoulders are lodged in her pelvis and it's hard for her to walk* *once inside the stall, lays down*

Vet:*rubs her down with a towel, trying to dry her off some*
