Val:*steps close to her father and rubs her head against him* I miss when I was little. *smiles softly* back when mom loved me. I remember how you'd comfort me when I was afraid. *licks his back and grooms him* How you'd lay me back down and lay by me, lick me and talk to me about the war, the good parts with uncle Joey. You'd talk about Emily and when you and Joey raced. All the good things. and how you came home and saw mom and how you fell in love with her. and I'd feel better. and then you'd hum me back to sleep and stay with me until I woke up the next morning. *smiling* Always you were there.
